I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in psychology. I spent 18 months working in customer service at Medicare Australia before beginning the DEEWR Graduate Program.
Having the opportunity to provide input into the way things are done and help to make things more efficient and effective. Some of the suggestions I’ve made have been taken on board, which is really encouraging.
Public service is important because it is the means by which government policies and programs are developed and implemented. By working for the APS, I’m contributing to the delivery of programs relevant to every Australian. That’s what makes my job important.
